Cannot Import Photos to Lightroom Classic

With the latest update to Lightroom Classic (10.1.1), I am unable to import photos to one of my internal hard drives (Windows 10, latest version).  Lightroom sees the card reader as another drive, and even though I select an internal hard drive as the destination folder, it sees the card (either an SDHC or a CF Express) as a computer drive and the photos to be imported are grayed out.  When I select "Show in Explorer," it shows the drive for the card, not an internal drive.   If I had to, I could simply create a new folder on my hard drive and move the photos to it, but that is less convenient.

This has never happened before with the earlier versions of Lightroom.

I resolved the issue.  I removed the pictures from the card drive that had been seen as a file destination, and I was then able to import them to my selected destination drive and folder.

Images that are grayed out are an indication that they have been imported previously. Could that be the case in this instance?
