Cannot open installer for Lightroom classic

I downloaded the installer for the subsciption version of Lightroom Classic for Mac (Paid the subscription etc.), but it won't open. It just hangs. That's it.

Yes, I've turned all firewalls off.

I already have Lightroom 5.7 installed, which I've been using problem free for many years.

Is this installer you downloaded.  You install Lightroom Classic from this app.
