Please can you advise why we are getting the below error message stating that Lightroom Classic is unable to connect to any catalog’s that we try to create on a network drive?

I have the ability to create files on this drive in other apps so it is not a permissioning issue.

If I create a catalog on local C drive of the machine the application will launch successfully however.

This is the expected behavior of Lightroom Classic. Catalogs cannot be on a network drive, they must be on an internal drive or an external drive. There is no option to change this.

Right the LrC catalog Can NOT be on a Networked drive. It has to be on a drive connected directly to the computer the LrC program is running on. That drive can be Internal or External.

Not sure why you don't understand that error you got.
