Contact sheet colours different to original photo

When creating contact sheets as a draft quality pdf, the output shades appear different to the original photo. Is there a reason for this, and what in particular are the qualities changed?

I have uploaded a sample. The first image is the original and the second is from the contact sheet.

Have you tried calibrating the monitor profile to the defaults?
