I'm using the lastest verison of Lightroom Classic. I've been editing Senior sessions - my last three sessions have all had corrupt catalogs and I had to start editing again from scratch. Lightroom was not able to repair the catalogs when I attempted to reopen. In all of these instances, Lightroom has crashed while I was working. What could be causing this? Lightroom is on my PC but my images and catalog are on an external.

It is caused by a hardware malfunction, and the most likely culprit is a malfunctioning hard disk. Run diagnostic tests on your hard disk.
Also, try placing a new catalog on a different disk.
