Can you explain more about your "corrupt catalog records"?

Are you referring to 'photos' in the catalog library?

There can be-

1) Files that are corrupted (in the raw data of the file) anywhere from camera to hard-drive, and will often show in LrC with extreme video artifacts.

This sample was caused by a camera sensor problem-

ScreenShot050.jpg

2) Files that show in previews, but have a black circle with an exclamation mark indicating that Lightroom has trouble reading the file.

ScreenShot199.jpg

3) Preview thumbnails that are totally blank grey without metadata and cannot be deleted. Reported by other users and seems difficult to fix. A link -

Are you updated to the last releaase of Lightroom-Classic 9.4?

Regards. My System: Lr-Classic 10.1, Photoshop 22.1, Lightroom 4.1, Windows-10 Nikon DSLR.

I have no answers, but a couple of suggestions to try-

1) When you exit Lightroom-Classic, Backup your catalog with both options checked on: [Test Integrity] and [Optimize Catalog]. Re-open the catalog.

Or

2) -Create a new (empty) catalog and view/open this new catalog, (do not import photos!)

-In the new catalog go MENU: File > Import from another Catalog,

-In the dialog that appears, choose the Catalog that has the corrupt files, [Import]

In the options-

ScreenShot053.jpg

Check and see if the corrupt photos have gone in the 'new' catalog.

If all this fails, you may need to post to the Feedback forum and ask the Adobe Administrator, to fix your catalog for you. Linked-
