Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs.

Are you asking if you can move the Lightroom application to another device, i.e. another computer, or are you asking about moving or copying the presents to another device or the image files themselves?

Lightroom makes a catalog of the photo files you import. It does not store the photo files themselves, just the catalog of what they are and where they are. It also stores the edits you made to the photo files in the catalog.

Your photo files should be saved in a separate location, your internal drive or an external drive. The application and its working parts, (lightroom.lrcat , lightroomHelper.lrdata, and Lightroom Previews.lrdata) are best on your internal drive. There is another folder which includes Lightroom settings, with presets, and more. That folder should also be on your internal drive, and you can easily copy the folder to use on another machine. And you should always make at least one back up copy of all your photo files on another drive.
