Bonjour,

Since the June 2020 update, Lightroom classic runs for a few minutes and the PC restarts.

After several attempts, I found that it was using 100% processor resources.

I disabled GPU management, but nothing helps.

I also noticed the same use of the processor with photoshop, but there intermittently which is normal.

My configuration:
motherboard: ASUSTeK PRIME B360M-A
Power: 450W
OS: Windows 10 Home (64-bit)
PROCESSOR: Intel® Core ™ i5-8400 CPU @ 2.80GHz
GRAPHIC: NVIDIA GeForce 210
VIVE MEMORY: 32 GB DDR4
STORAGE: TOSHIBA HDWD1 sata 1TB; ADATA SU630 ssd 450GB

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs.

PC restarting is almost always either a bad driver, or a hardware malfunction. Since you say it was using 100% processor resources, the most likely diagnosis is that the CPU is overheating. So you need to check your cooling system to make sure all elements of the cooling system (including fans or water-based cooling devices) are working properly. Vaccuum out all the dust from the computer case and from the air flow vents on the computer case.

It's a bad driver or hardware malfunction. It has nothing to do with any Lightroom Classic update, as almost no one else is reporting this.

Actually, mine is doing the same thing and it's so very frustrating! I'm on a brand new computer! It only started crashing since the update but it's always blacked out and froze, even on my laptop.
