What version of Lightroom Classic. Do not respond back with "latest version". Provide actual version info, such as version 9.2

What Camera?

How did you copy the photos on your SD card to your external hard drive? Did you place the SD card in a reader? Did you connect the camera to the computer via USB? Or WiFi?

LATEST

Depends which Lightroom v6.2 you are using!

a) The new Cloud based version that stores your images in the Cloud, (I suspect by the Mac Ventura OS)

b) The very old (2015) , unsupported, stand-alone version?

For a) Repeat your question in the LIGHTROOM ECOSYSTEM  forum for a more appropriate answer.

Regards. My System: Lightroom-Classic 13.2 Photoshop 25.5, ACR 16.2, Lightroom 7.2, Lr-iOS 9.0.1, Bridge 14.0.2, Windows-11.
