Lr v. 9.1 under Catalina. Cannot export slideshows as video with 1080p. Regardless of the number of pictures involved, progress bar freezes after few seconds and gets stuck. Fill to full frame disabled. It works with 720p but results in very low quality. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Andrej,

That shouldn't be happening, as the progress bar freezes in Lightroom when you export a 1080p video, have you tried turning off the GPU option from Lightroom's preferences? Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" > Restart Lightroom.

Also, It could be due to corruption in the LR Preferences file. The original Preferences file is carried over and updated on each LR upgrade so it could be the cause of your long-standing issue. Try resetting the LR Preferences file as outlined at the below link:

Hi Sahil,

Thank you for your prompt reply and advice. I turned the GPU option off (it was set by default on Auto) and made an export test with just 4 photos, and it worked. Will now make more significant tests with a higher number of photos. To view the mp4 file created, my Mac uses the built-in Quick Time Player, and quality is not bad; would you suggest to download and use another better one?

Thank you for your support.
