[Feature Request] LR show the Focus Point

Canon and Nikon store the Focus Point information in both jpeg and raw format.

But Lightroom can not show it to users.

This information is very important to find out the flaw of shooting skill, and is important to DO the focus stack.

Focus point information is proprietary information unique to each camera manufacturer and therefore probably not something that Adobe is able to provide support for. However, the forum where feature requests will most likely be considered can be found here:

I doubt Adobe will include this feature and I don't see any usefulness in it but you could use the camera supplied software of if you have a supported camera download this free plugin to do this in Lightroom.  If you do let us know how well it works.   Show Focus Points Plugin for Lightroom

I can't believe showing focus points is STILL not a thing in Lightroom, this is such an essential feature. I have to use Canon Digital Photo Professional to see this information. The info is inside the RAW file, Lightroom ALREADY has the lens profile information for each lens, why is this not a feature in Lightroom already?!?!

This feature request was made almost 10 years ago, and has accumulated over 300 votes, on the official Lightroom Feedback site.

Many of the feature requests there do get implemented, but it isn’t just a question of votes. It can also have to do with other reasons, which sometimes aren’t even technical reasons.

Anyway, it’s definitely something people have been asking for over a long period of time, so Adobe apparently has some significant reasons for not having implemented it yet.

You may be able to use a plug-in for this purpose. Mind you, these focus point plug-ins are often camera make limited.

Google on:

lightroom classic focus point plugin
