Bonjour,
Pourquoi ? Merci.
What is the file format of the images? For example, no XMP files are created for TIFF and JPEG files. Instead, the information is stored in the header of the file.

These are Tiff files. However, the information is not stored in the header either. When I open a photo with Photoshop from the Finder, all the corrections made in Lightroom are lost (of course when I open it from Lightroom they are not). This means that it's impossible to save these photos on an external HD without loosing my work.

The catalog preferences must be set to save the development settings to the files.

I was right with my LR catalog set-up. But now I just found that Camera Raw can read the files with the information. Which means that Lightroom stored it in the header of the file as you said. So I guess my problem is solved. Thank you. Dana Mill.

That's also applies if the scans are in DNG format.
