Finding lost folders and files

I am a long time LR user and ccc member using LR 10.3. In library mode I used to be able search for files or folders in Catalog when displaying All Photographs. the top search options no longer show. How do I get these options back. What am I doing wrong in my old age.

Do you mean the Filter Bar? If so, press backslash — which looks like \

View->Show Filter Bar
