Hi all,
I'm brand new to Lightroom having just downloaded the trial...today I've uploaded photos and videos and basically all of my videos playback green...the sound is there and the colour is normal in the thumbnail.
Can anyone please offer me a solution? i have a brand new laptop...Surface Pro 7, so I'm really at a loss as to how to solve this.
thank you,
Vicki

First diagnostic step/possible solution
In Preferences, in Performance, uncheck use Graphics Processor.

Oh, and please share your system info as lightroom reports it. In lightroom click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that in a reply.

Hi David,
thank you for your reply, since I posted I've had a rep from Adobe spend 2 hours on my machine and also an over the phone remote technicians look into this but still with no solution! It seems that LR classic just doesn't support the codes to the videos...I even uploaded s video from my iPhone to see if it plated green but it won't play at all, it says the HEVC encoded file are not supported by Windows but the videos taken on my DSLR are a ALC format (both .MOV) files. The tech even tried changing the formats but they were still green!
So far I've tried what you said - no effect
uninstalled and reinstalled - no effect
downloaded VLC media player - no effect
i can play the videos in LR CC and they show up fine, it's just Classic that's giving me green videos!
Here's my info...

I'm having the same issue with videos playing with total green tint but look fine in thumnails. This is happening with ALL vedios in my collection regardless of the video file format from a large variety of cameras and cell phones. I'm running on a Surface Pro 7 with 16GB RAM and a 256GB SSD.

I also have the same issue. I am using an iMac 2017, on Monterey OS. LRC 11.3.1. All videos imported show up in both thumbnail and full view like a negative film but with predominantly green and red tint. I tried all the solutions mentioned her, including monitor recalibration, except for reinstalling the app which I don't wish to do. The videos (mp4 mostly) run perfectly in other video programs (VLC, INNA, even the default built-in Apple player). Hence it's not a display calibration issue. For sure it's an LRC problem. With this defect, I will not be able to grab any frames from the clips should I want to as they all appear like infrared frames, in this case, infragreen. When will Adobe address this issue? I've been waiting for the fix for more than 2 years already.

Additional info:
I tried with an iMac M1 and the same happens, i.e. green videos and thumbnails, in some formats.
Below are the video file formats (with source cameras) wherein the green anomaly occurs:
MP4 (Leica C-Lux, V-Lux4, and Q) and
MOV/mov (iPhone 7 Plus and 11 Pro Max)
The green (and red) videos show in both the Library view and thumbnail. This is with Graphics Processor on Auto and off.
The following video formats [from diffent camera sources] play NORMALLY in LRC and LRcc:
MPG [Sony F828, DSC T20, DCS T100, DSC T300, DSC W100],
m4v, 3gp [iPhone 4, 6, 8]
m2ts [Sony Handycam]
MOV [Canon 7D, iPhone 11 Pro Max],
MP4 [Sony RX100, RX100M3],
AVI [Canon IXUS 400, IXUS V3]
All the video formats above play as expected in all other video programs. The thumbnails and playback are also good in Finder. In fact, the ones that play in green in Lightroom Classic and Lightroom CC, run normally with the right colors in Photoshop 2021 and 2022.
My best guess is that it really is an LRC or LRcc problem. Maybe a video codec issue. The anomaly is only detected with the Lightroom programs. It's not occuring with other video programs and more telling, not in Adobe Photoshop.

SOLUTION FOUND:
I think I have figured out what was causing the green anomaly.
After trying a few solutions, the one that solved the problem for me is to set the Set Preset in the Quick Develop portion of the Library module (right column) to Default Settings. The green and red tinting disappeared and the videos displayed as normal.
I think what happened is when I imported the files (photos and videos) to LRC, I have done so with a Develop Preset. This has been my normal workflow. For some reason, the develop settings were applied to the videos and created the tinting. I'll leave the correct explanation to others who are more technically knowledgeable than me in that regard. I'm just glad that I now have normal videos in LR. Still cannot process in Develop but being able to view them properly and doing global adjustments in Library is good enough of me.
