HDR Photo Merge Light room

Everytime I use the photomerge feature the HDR final merged photo ends up a smaller size.

(5162x3871 instead of 5184x2920)

 

Any idea why this is and how to change it? Looks like it is a few megapixels lower too.

Thats because you didn't use a tripod and there was movement between the shots.  Photomerge HDR crops the photo to the area that has pixels from all the shots.  You can uncrop it and it will show you white borders and odd borders where the photos didn't have pixels from all shots.  If you use a tripod you will not have as much crop.  Probably a pixel or two or maybe none with a good tripod and great technique.
