HELP, I can't send photos to Photoshop using WD Passport

Hi there!

I am currently editing in Lightroom, using my external WD Passport. I'm trying to "Edit in Photoshop" but when I send my photos i get this alert, "Could not open "C1_03022.ARW" because of a disk error. 

I've tried converting my file to DNG, and then retry and I still get the same notifcation.

When I upload my photos to the computer normally on my desktop, they transfer to Photoshop just fine.

Can someone please help with this??
