Help installing xmp preset into Lightroom 6

I just purchased some presets that are xmp files but they will not upload into my Lightroom 6. How do I convert them into the lrt files?

Cannot be done easily!

I have seen a website that offers to convert the uploaded XMP online, but the site has closed- it was probably a scam to get free presets!

Another Google search link offered to convert for you - for a fee!

There is a workaround using ACR that is explained by elie_di here- XMP to LRTEMPLATE elie_di Apr 25, 2018 

Or ask your supplier to send you the .LRTEMPLATE versions.
