Help saving picture to Lightroom from Photoshop

Hello all! I am excited to begin using Adobe Creative Cloud. I’ve been experimenting with Photoshop and Lightroom but have run into some complications. I opened a photo in Lightroom and then did the Edit option which took me to Photoshop where I completed editing. How then do I save my edited photo to Lightroom? I managed to save it to my desktop but for some reason the original is still in Lightroom. Help please! I’m new to Adobe 🙂
