I am consolidating a few different places where photos and videos are stored over the years. I found the duplication detection to work well with photos which frees up a lot of space on my backups.
It looks like duplication detection does work well with video. How does it doing duplication detection? I find that it's not looking at the file at all. It can easily do an MD5 or other hash comparison.
Are there any settings for this?
I might not be able to use Lightroom for cataloging if this doesn't work as well for video as it does for photos.
Have something to add?
