Adjust dehaze, saturation and vibrance in your portrait
Lightroom Classic
Do your portraits look dull or not very vibrant?
You can easily enhance your portraits by using the amazing tools available in the Develop module of Lightroom Classic and make them look more vibrant.
Here's how the unedited portrait looks:
❶ What is dehaze?
Sometimes haze or fog can appear in images, hiding details from certain areas and ruining a perfect portrait. The Dehaze slider allows users to control the amount of haze in their images. It allows you to reduce or increase the haze by moving the slider to the left or right.
❷What are saturation and vibrance?
Saturation is the intensity of color in an image. Higher saturation can make a portrait look more vivid, and lower levels of saturation can make it look gray and less vivid.
Vibrance is the amount of color in muted or dull areas of a portrait. The more muted a color is, the larger the increase in saturation will be. It’s a good idea to use the vibrance slider if you’re working with portraits because it prevents skin tones from becoming oversaturated, resulting in more natural skin tones.
Some subtle changes can make a lot of difference. Feel free to try your hand at Dehaze, Saturation, and Vibrance. You can download the sample image from here or try using these tools on your portraits.
