I imported the overlay in lightroom, but when I export the image the overlay doesn't appear on the final photo

What do you mean by overlay? Are you referring to an image with layers? Please clarify what it is that you did.

'Overlay' in Lightroom-Classic is a visual aid for positioning subjects in the frame. (Eg. shooting tethered for a magazine cover.)

There is no option in the Export dialog to apply an overlay to the exported image.

You will need to use the overlay image as a 'Graphic' Watermark and apply this in the export.

-Open the watermark Editor

-Choose 'Graphic'

-Select the 'overlay' image

-Set the options for position and size, etc.

-Save settings in a new (Watermark) Preset.

-Apply the Watermark Preset in the Export.

Regards. My System: Lightroom-Classic 13.2 Photoshop 25.5, ACR 16.2, Lightroom 7.2, Lr-iOS 9.0.1, Bridge 14.0.2, Windows-11.

AFAIK the only thing you can add to an image at export is a Watermark. If what you are calling an Overlay is actually some type of watermark then you have to select it in the Watermark section of the Export dialog wiindow. And that overlay needs to placed in the proper folder, Watermarks, on your hard drive for it to be available.

Otherwise something like this will need to be done in Photoshop or similar program.

LR can't Combine images except as stated above.
