How to open a catalog with smart previews (without the originials)

Hey guys, 

for a client I want to edit the photos on lightroom without having the original ones. He sent me his catalog and smart preview data. But I don't know how to open both. When I open the catalog it says "files not found" - since the smart previews are missing. How do I add them now? Cannot find anything in the web...

Place the folder with the Smart Previews (Lightroom Catalog Smart Previews.lrdata) into the same folder where you put the catalog file (.lrcat).
