Importing issue

I just re installed Lightroom CC, after and complete wipe on my Macbook pro and I went to import photos and it cant find any of them on my memory card. I have tried different memeory cards and have taken new photos also. I may have missed on a permission setting.

Are you using Lightroom Classic or are you using Lightroom (which some users referred to as Lightroom CC)? What is the exact version number you are referring to?

Does your operating system recognize the photos on the camera card?
