In the macOS version, when you catching originalfiles for your catalog, if you mark one all missing original files in the same folder are restored. In the windows version only the pointed at file will be restored. Is there any trick to get the Windods version work the same way as the MacOS does?

Hi there,

If you're seeing missing images in Lightroom Classic, the process of locating them is the same in both Mac and Windows. Please check this article for more details: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/lightroom-classic/help/locate-missing-photos.html

If in case, a folder is moved in the operating system instead of in Lightroom Classic, the link between the catalog and the folder breaks, and a question-mark icon appears on the folder in the Folders panel.

Thanks,

Akash

It should behave the same in Windows and Mac. I verify with LR 9.1 on my Windopws 10 PC :

If the reason for the broken link is because the path to the file has changed on disk, relinking one file will update the path and therefore relink all the files which use the same path.

But if the reason for the broken link is because the file name has changed, relinking the file won't relink the other files (how could LR know their new name?)
