From the translation to English

"How large should a catalog file be that manages approximately 60,000 photos?"

I don't know. It depends on a lot of things.

"For me, the catalog is a ZIP file of just under 2GB."

Sounds reasonable

"Where is the catalog stored?"

Edit->Catalog Settings, look next to "Location"

Yes it is normal for a catalog to be stored on an SSD and a backup on an external drive. Makes sense to do that. Catalog and backup file ought to be identical.

My preview files are about 30 GB in size. Can I delete them? What does this mean?

If you delete them, Lightroom will create them as needed. So they will come back. And for some time, your Lightroom will run slower as it regenerates the preview files.

What is the real issue here? Is there a space problem on your SSD, is that why you are asking all these questions about sizes of things?

Bettina

I would first move the original photos to a different disk. That ought to clear up plenty of space.

Now, if the photos are already on a different disk, then the next thing to do is to delete unwanted catalog, and delete the previews associated with those unwanted catalogs. How do you know if the catalog is unwanted? The file date may give you some clue, but I would recommend double-clicking on those catalog files and seeing with your own eyes what is in them, and if those photos are contained in your current catalog.
