Unfortunately, the only way to install Lightroom on that laptop is to install a 64-bit operating system on the laptop.

The only way "around", meanig keeping your existing 32 bit Installation alive is using a virtualization instance. Meaning HyperV under Windows 10. You can convert your existing C disk into a virtual disk and copy it to a stick. You can then install win10 in 64 bit and install LR. Then set up HyperV and mount your stick and boot inside a windows10 HyperV window from your stick.
Thus is extreme difficult and errorprone and you need to really be a 32bit fanatic to try that. Plus you need two Windows licenses. Plus an uptodate CPU allowing virtualization. But it can be done.

I won't even touch that one. All I know is that Lightroom 6 requires a 64-bit operating system. Anything beyond that information is beyond my understanding. Lightroom seems to be temperamental enough as it is for some users. I certainly wouldn't suggest trying to run it in an error-prone OS environment.

I think Lightroom running in an virtual environment isn't a good idea. The grafic performance is insufficient to work properly.

As I said, this solution is for special cases, like if you have expensive software on your 32 bit system and lost the license file. Or you you have a fancy photo software that puts photos or catalogs in hidden folders and you do not feel like formatting that disk.
Of course, LR runs in a native Win10 environment. The old 32bit system runs in the virtual world. That is slow, but as said, everything is still there and working. ( one can not emulate 64 bit in 32 bit, only the other way around)

Hey, why can't you simply dual-boot 64-bit and 32-bit? Or simply replace operating system to latest version of windows 10 x64? What is this hyper-v, what are you talking about does not make sense. Simply we have to install windows 10 64 bit on laptops released after 2010. And laptops older than 2010 (maybe 2007, not sure) do not support 64 bit or virtualization or whatever.
