Issues with Lightroom Classic 10.1.1 on macOS Catalina

I've just updated my OS to Catalina (late to the game yes I know!), and updated my LR Classic to 10.1.1. So just tried it for the first time and the experience has been a profoundly worrying one - LR keeps hanging every few seconds, and when exporting just the one image to my desktop I get no progress on the bar and it just sits there not exporting.

FYI: Late 2013 Mac Pro with 218GB avaialable and in which LR Classic was working perfectly on High Sierra. I do have accessibility for LR Classic ticked btw.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I won;t be able to earn a living if I can't use LR efficiently and aren't able to export.

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble with Lightroom Classic. Since you've already added Lightroom Classic to the Accessibility list, please grant the app permissions under Full Disk Access. You should be able to find Full Disk Access in the same list as Accessibility under Security & Privacy. Once done, restart your Mac to check if that helps.

You can try optimizing the preferences of Lightroom Classic using the steps suggested here: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/optimize-performance-lightroom.html

If the issue still persists, you can try to reset the preferences of Lightroom using the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/2JSym5e

Please backup your presets prior to resetting the preferences.

Let us know how it goes!

Nikunj

Thank you for your reply. Seems like granting full permissions under Full Disk Access and restarting has done the job. I didn't bother optimizing or resetting my preferences as currently it;s still working perfectly. Thank you.

In addition to what nikunj.m advised I would suggest reverting to LrC version 10.0.

Hi - thanks for taking the trouble to post on my issue. As you can see from above, my issue seems to be sorted by just granting the full permissions and restarting, and it seems to be working nicely on 10.1.1 currently.
