I would like to select multiple images in Library and have keywords apply to all of the selected.  When I "select" i.e. get them to light

up around the border, the keywords seem to stick to only the first one chosen.  What can I do to fix this?

Select them then click the keyword you want to assign to them.

I should note that I know I can do this prior to importing but these images I ask about are already in the Library and Catalog.

Oh you have to be in the Grid view and select them there. Not in the film strip.

You can also turn AutoSync on and keyword all the selected photos from the other views but as JSM said it is a lot easier to do this in Grid view.
