Printing out of lightroom on a canon pixma pro v the portraits skin tones are excellent without much adjustment in lightroom however the body of clothes bright red jumper is almost orange does anyone have any answers other than massive retouching

So people don't have to download the image you have attached to your post please Edit your post to remove the Attached screen shot and Include it in the body of the text of your post.

You do that by Clicking the "More..." link at the bottom of your post, Selecting "Edit Message" and then use the "Insert Photos" icon in the tool bar at the top of the Post/Reply/Edit dialog box like this.

You should always test output using good color reference images designed for that task. The color reference images RGB values are such they are set for output and are editing and display agnostic. Test the output this way and examine for the same color issues so we know it's not your image specific issues causing the problems:

Hi 

 

Ive run the printer profile there is definatly a difference the background to the dog and the fox is strong in blue making it less of a grey scale whites are dark pinks going purple reds dirty and light looking at the gradient strips the mid tones are dirty and the shadows are weak. any thoughts ps thanks for all your help so far

Thanks for your help i am going through the set up you have suggeted when I go to other the only profiles that show up are Canon there are no Red River am i doing something stupid

You need to make sure to install the correct red river profiles for the paper and printer you are using. Then you use this profile in Lightroom in the print panel and turn off color management in the printer driver. If not, it will use a default canon profile that is likely not appropriate for the paper you are using. These profiles are available on the red river website with instructions on how to install them.

The source of the files, Red River, is a paper manufacturer. Hence the icc profiles are for Red Paper. If you are using Canon paper, the icc profiles will be Canon ones, from Canon, tyicaly installed when you install the Canon Printer driver.
