Lightroom 6.0 freezes on launch

Hi! So I got Lightroom 6.0 in 2015 (CD) and installed it on my old macbook pro (2012). 

Then I bought another laptop and havent used it in a while. I dont really intend to use it now but I would like to recover some photos. I had upgraded to Catalina (big mistake) and obviously Lightroom kept crashing on launch. Then I downgraded to Mojave and the lightroom doesnt pass this message.... Is there anyway at all to get my photos? I did a back up before downgrading...

Your photos are not in Lightroom. They are on your hard disk somewhere, you can access them without Lightroom.

You can also try to upgrade to Lightroom 6.14 (it's free if you have a serial number for Lightroom 6).
