I am currently using Lightroom 6.  When I import photos to be processed and click on "Develop', the program automatically shutsdown.  Anyway to resolve this issue.  I have already tried to reinstall the program, but the issue still persist.

Go to Edit> Preferences> Performance tab and uncheck 'Use Graphics Processor.'  Restart LR and try again. If that fixes the issue try downloading and installing the latest graphics drivers.

Besides Todd's suggestion below, it would be good to know what operating system you are using (and what release). Also, what computer are you using? Do you have the specs handy?

LR6 is rather old and it's also possible that if you recenlty bought a new computer, LR6 may not be fully compatible with the new hardware. On the other hand, if things have been running smoothly with this computer and only recently starting giving you trouble, what changes have been done in recent times that coincided with this? (E.g., an updated system).

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Past that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs.
