hi are any imac 27 inch late 2014 users enduring persistent crashing of Lightrrom 9.2.1 catalog. It seems stuck in an endless loop of crashing (often at the slitest provocation) (often with regard to syncing to Smugmug) and then repairs itself and remains functional until you try leave a session with a back up -  it often fails at that point.

I have done a clean blank re-install of the mac OS X Mojave as well as replacing two ram chips that didn't pass the hardware check, but still the problem persists. I have even started a clean Lighroom catalog with only a few entried as a test and the beahvior is the same.

I have worked with Adobe and apple support with limited results. - thanks - Dan Nicoletta 415-310-3072 or owlmandanny@gmail.com

Try creating a new catalog. See if a new catalog behaves.

If it does, perhaps an issue exists with the old one, consider migrating to new.

Oh, and % free space on hard drive your catalog is in? Needs to be at least 25% free.

And in /Preferences/Performance/, Have you chosen to turn on Use Graphics Processor"?   Your GPU might not support, if on, turn off and see what happens. If you are not running 4K, and on older GPU, or worse, just an integrated video control, that option can make things worse not better.
