Hi there,

Lightroom Classic 10.x is compatible with macOS Big Sur. Lightroom Classic 9.x and earlier have not been tested for compatibility with macOS Big Sur (version 11)

Regarding the MacBook M1 support, native compatibility is planned for 2021. Adobe is committed to ensuring Lightroom Classic is available on all major platforms and surfaces, including running natively on Apple devices with M1 processors.

There are no known issues specific to running Lightroom Classic 10.x under Rosetta

There are no known issues specific to running Lightroom Classic 10.x under Rosetta 2 emulation mode on Apple devices with M1 processors running macOS BigSur (version 11)

Unsupported versions of Lightroom Classic were not designed or tested to work on macOS Big Sur (version 11) and Apple devices with M1 processors running macOS BigSur.

Older versions use 32-bit licensing components and installers and will not be able to be installed, uninstalled, or activated after upgrading to macOS Big Sur.

For details, see https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/macos-big-sur-compatibility.html

Thanks,

Akash

Saying that Rosetta 2 can run LRC "with no known issues" is kind of an overstatement... It's very laggy when working with my Sony a6400 raw files. Please get it to work natively on Apple chips ASAP, it is really frustrating as it is right now.

I would consider performance an "issue". The lag makes it near unusable in a commercial environment.

You cannot install Lightroom 6.10 on new Mac computers, if they are running MAC operating system 10.15 or later
