Lightroom Classic 6 - says installed on too many devices but only installed on one

I had two adobe accounts so deleted one of them. Unfortunately my Lightroom Classic 6 was registed with the account that was deleted and no longer exists. When I start Lightroom I get an error message saying my licence is installed on too many computers but it's only installed on the one I'm using.  It seems that adobe still thinks Lightroom is registered with the deleted account as if I log into remaining account and try to register the Lightroom serial it says already registered elsewhere.

Please can anyone help - many thanks
