Lightroom Classic 8.3.1

Sort by filename is using the preserved filename from the metadata.  How do I stop this and sort by the new filename?

I found the 'problem' and it was the pictures were in a stack.  I had to unstack them, then re-stack them to get the order I wanted.

I see no option to sort pictures in a stack, which is probably good, since it would move pictures from the 'top' of the stack.

So not a problem, per se.  Just an unexpected behavior.

Hopefully this helps anyone else with this issue/non-issue.

Hi Mike,

As Lightroom Classic is sorting files by preserved filename, could you please let us know when did this start happening?

Also, It seems to be working correctly at my end, could you please share a screenshot with us?

Regards,
Sahil
