Lightroom Classic 8.4.1 hangs when synchronizing folder on macOS 10.12.6

Lightroom Classic 8.4.1/ OSX 10.12.6 gets stuck when synchronizing a folder, so I have to quit the whole program. - So far, I haven't found any helpful approaches to solving the problem.

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble with Lightroom Classic. Would you mind telling us if the folder you are trying to synchronize is located on an external drive? If yes, do you experience the same issue whiel trying to synchronize a folder located on the computers local storage?

You can try to reset the preferences of Lightroom using the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/2JSym5e

Please backup your presets prior to resetting the preferences.

What happens if you try to Import from that folder instead of Sync the folder?
