Hi All,

I am having issues importing photos from my iphone X (IOS 13.3) to LR Classic 9.1 running on Mac Catalina (10.15.2). The symptons are:

- photos on the iphone appear in the import screen

- I select a single JPEG image and click import

- It will then show the normal import progress bar (with no progress) and the 'importing files..." on the screen but nothing happens. Even if I then disconnect the iphone the the progress bar and the 'importing files...' stay.

I have tried:

- resetting preferences

- changing settings in the OS for Sys Preferences --> Security and Privacy --> Full disk access and files and folders so lightroom has full access

The above doesn't fix the issues.

Anyone got any idea?

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about the import issue with Lightroom Classic, could you please try the steps mentioned below and let us know if it helps?

Configure your Apple iPhone mobile device to trust the computer where Lightroom is installed. To do so:

  1. Unplug your iPhone, if connected to the computer. Then go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Location & Privacy.
  2. Insert your passcode, then click Reset Settings. This resets the location and privacy settings back to factory default.
  3. Plug your iPhone to the computer where Lightroom is installed:
    1. (Windows) Make sure you unlock your iPhone and tap Allow if you see the alert - 'Allow this device to access photos and videos'.
    2. (macOS) Make sure you unlock your iPhone and tap Trust if you see the alert - 'Trust this Computer'.

Let us know if it helps.
Regards,
Sahil

Hi Sahil,

Thanks for you response. I just tried that as well and it didn't fix the issues. Any other ideas?

Cheers

Did you ever resolve the issue? I have the same symptoms  and have tried the same steps.

Thanks,
