Hi all,
I finally bowed to Adobe and upgraded to Classic 9.2. I have 248K photos. I am running Catalina on my Mac.
Upon re-booting, the beloved LR keeps restarting "Face Detection" at "Indexing 30,000 photos" and descends over the next hours to zero photos.
The only catch is, if I close out and then open again, LR lovingly starts indexing 30,000 face detection photos again.
It's a combination of Groundhog Day, The Twilight Zone and the ills of capitalism. I paid more money for more problems.
Help, please. This is frustrating, and is eating my RAM.
Eric

First off, pause Face Detection.
Not the solution, a work around.

Second, the sync bit, looks like something at odds. In preferences, look at the sync portion, look for issues.

Still no answer on this. Very frustrating - more money, more problems.
