Hi, as of today I'm experiencing a very weird crash in Lightroom Classic 9.3. Whenever I open an image in the Develop module (and I start to edit it) it shows a completely crashed version of the image (see attached images). In finder, all the files are ok, as well as in the Grid or Loupe module... So, apparently it's a Develop-module error. Any ideas how to fix this?? I already tried removing the smart previews, and re-creating them, but that doesn't help...
The first thing that you should try is to switch off the GPU support from the Lightroom preferences and check if that helps to fix the issue.
Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" > Restart Lightroom.

Another step is to try to reset the Lightroom preferences.

Thank you so much! Turning off the GPU support made it disappear, weirdly... Any ideas on how the GPU acceleration could cause something like this? I'm using a Macbook Pro 16 with an AMD Radeon Pro 5500 8GB GPU, and macOS Catalina (10.15.4) together with Lightroom Classic v9.3.... Does this mean I can never turn on the GPU acceleration again?

Here is the bottom line on Apple Macbook Pro GPU issues.
For years Apple has had recalls for GPU problems.
Apple is in control of the drivers for all the GPUs used in Mac computers. So unless you update the OS, and you are one point release behind (newest is 10.15.5), you can't update/grade the drives fpor the GPU.
Does it mean you will never be able to enable the GPU option? No one Knows.
Update OS X to the newest version and test the GPU option in LrC. That is the only way to tell.
This could also be a Heat problem wih the GPU.
