Lightroom Classic 9.3: Tethered Capture not working on Catalina (Mac OS 10.15.6)

I am running LR Classic, release 9.3.  I am unable to get LR to recognize a Nikon D810 in tethered capture mode.  The camera and cabling are ok, as it is recognized immediately on my laptop running Mojave, OS 10.14.6.
