Lightroom Classic 9.4 for Mac not saving print settings in templates

My paper settings in Lightroom are not being saved in the printer user template. Is this a bug or feature or some setting I've missed? I'm using a Mac with Mojave OS.

Paper settings or the entire Print Template?

Could this be a permissions issue on the drive? Worth checking.
