Lightroom Classic email account manager won't validate gmail account on Win10

I am trying to email photos from Lightroom using gmail. I keep getting an error message saying "validation failed, Failed to establish connection with outgoing email server.  I have read all of the posts, and have set up an Application Specific Password, and have entered that password in the Lightroom email account password.

I am ready to tear my hair out!

Using the latest version of  Lightroom classic on Windows 10.

Sorry that you cannot validate Gmail in Lightroom Classic on Windows 10 computer.
