Lightroom (Cloud) or Classic? Sharing with team etc.

Hi all,

what's the perfect solution in this case:

- we are a team and store ~10.000 pictures on a local network drive (everybody has access)

- we would like to use Lightroom to find pictures faster (tagging them)

- every team member should have access to the tagged Lightroom "previews"

So what's the best program for that? LR (Cloud) oder LR Classic?

How can we share the imported (and tagged) "gallery" to everyone in the team?

Many thanks!

I am afraid that Lightroom is not the right solution for you because it is not network-compatible. A catalog cannot be saved on the network. You would have to copy the database (Lightroom Classic) to every computer and repeat it every time you update it.

Hi Marianne,

thanks for your fast reply!

But is then maybe Lightroom (cloud-based) a solution for us?

Of course that means we have to "upload" all pictures to the cloud which will take some time.

But has everybody of the team then access to this "catalog"?

Many thanks!
