Lightroom classic hangs and crashes when I try to import.
Image files are on a local drive, windows 10 with all updates, all CC updates current.
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor, 32Gb RAM.
Lightroom runs fine, except I cannot import any new images! I transfer images to hard drive and try import.... Nothing happens.
Uninstalled and reinstalled Lightroom, then uninstalled and reinstalled all Adobe products and Creative Cloud. It still doesn't work!
The program is completely useless!

The first two "solutions" are not relevant, the last one seems to be the correct problem.
I read a lot about various external drives and other devices which mysteriously cause problems with LR. I have no such hardware connected, so I started unplugging internal hardware. Disconnecting the front panel USB connection from the motherboard seems to largely fix the issue. It still "lags" somewhat, but does not seem to hang/crash anymore.
