Which exact version of Lightroom?

What are the pixel dimensions of your monitor?

In the settings dialog, does turning on/off the GPU usage change anything?

when will this be fixed? We are not working with good equipment and Apple Computers to not use them at maximum performance. Since a lot of pros use apple and lightroom, it is either beeing fixed quick, or we will change the Raw-converter to capture one ore other. I am slow on capture one, but quicker than the Lightroom performance with Catalina.

We have heard this many times before. Slow using local adjustments. Basically, local adjustments are a common reason for slow performance in Lightroom, and ought to work better if you turn off the GPU use in Lightroom.

Other things that make this worse:

  • 4K or larger monitors
  • High pixel size original images
  • doing lots of local adjustments on a single image

Does anybody know when this will be fixed? We are not working with good equipment and Apple Computers to not use them at maximum performance. Since a lot of pros use apple and lightroom, it is either beeing fixed quick, or we will change the Raw-converter to capture one ore other. I am slow on capture one, but quicker than the Lightroom performance with Catalina. I do plenty of adjustments if necessary, thats what the program is made for?

We're not Adobe, we are just LIghtroom Classic users. We don't know Adobe's plans. You have to ask Adobe.

By the way, there are suggestion to improve this already in this thread. Did you try them?
