Hello all,

A very short while ago I was here trying to find out why images were not loading into LRC. After much back and forth the problem was not solved but it started to work anyway. This time not only did LR not load images via my Card Reader, but, umlike last time, it would not load images via the camera directly which worked last time. I am very frustrated and wondered if anyone had any fresh ideas. I am using LRC v10 and Windows 10.

Thanks,

Richard

Have you checked to see if the card itself is the problem? Does a different card work properly?

Things that can go bad

If using Card Reader

  • Card can go bad
  • Card Reader can go bad
  • Cable between Card Reader and Computer can go bad
  • Cable between Card Reader and Computer wrong cable, perhaps a phone charging cable, nit data.
  • Cable between Card Reader and Computer too long (more if a camera to computer issue)

If connecting Camera to Computer with memory card in Camera, via USB

  • Card can go bad
  • Card accidentally not properly seated in slot
  • Cable between Camera and Computer can go bad
  • Cable between Camera and Computer wrong cable, perhaps a phone charging cable, not data.
  • Cable between Camera and Computer too long (not so much Canon or Nikon, but Fuji, defiantly)

If connecting Camera to Computer with memory card in Camera, via WiFi

  • Don't

Mssrs. Paige, Geoff and Golding,

Thank you so much for your suggestions. However, you gave me too much credit. By that I mean the first thing I should have done was to get out of LRC and then back in. You all supposed that, of course, I must have done that but....I hadn't.

I finally did that and everything worked. Mea Culpa.
