When I throw a picture away, permanantley, it should occur in the paperbasket. Sometimes it does and most times it does not. Whenit does not I restart the computer and then itt occurs in the paperbasket. I have looked after some sort of installement to always get it in the paperbasket, but I cant find how.

Anybody knows?

This is a Computer Operating system defect and or problem. Not a LR Classic problem. The OS handles these things.

Could also be the way the drive is formatted. Some drive formats do not support either the Windows Recycle Bin or the Mac Trash.

But in the end it is still an Operating System problem, or Feature.

As JSM said, this is probably an OS issue.  It happens to me sometimes on my Mac and it happens with other programs, not just Lightroom.  You DO NOT have to restart your computer to reload the Trash (paperbasket), just hold the OPTION key down and RightClick the Finder Icon.   Then select RELAUNCH and it will refresh the Finder app which will also refresh the Trash.

Thanks, I will try that. Maybe Im almost ready to upgrade to Catalina, and maybe that will solve it. We will see, have to wait a bit though.

Thanks so much anyway.

Upgrading to Cataslina will not solve anything. In fact you will lose access to any 32bit program you are now using.

Think Long and Hard about doing the Catalina upgrade.
