I spent One Hour and 22 minutes on hold waiting for support. After which the girl took another hour and 41 minutes fishing for a solution. She tried several different methods, she was probably a very recent hire. She did not give up. She found a solution in Changing the Admin permission for launching the app. So every time I launch Lightroom now I have to give my Lightroom permission to modify my hard drive.
As always I am VERY disappointed with Adobe Customer Support. I have written them several times without a single response.
I can't wait for a reasonable alternative to Lightroom and Photoshop. I believe they are coming. Just not fast enough.
Sorry to see that you are experiencing problems with LR Classic, just so you are aware this is a user to user forum so the replies you will normally receive are from users like yourself. There are lots of experienced and helpful users and to assist please provide some details about your operating system and Lightroom version you are using i.e. actual version numbers.

This is happening to me. I try to quit. It asks if I really want to quit or if I want to wait for the app. If I choose to wait, it fixes itself without too much of a wait. In another thread it was suggested to reset preferences. I haven't tried that.
