Dear Adobe (I hope somebody of you is reading this forum).

Firstly, I want you watch the result of export to video which was done by your software.

Im not publishing these videos on YouTube because I want you download them and watch in original quality.
Here is videos from Lightrom(8.1 and 9.2.1 they both results the same):

(btw, time difference between 8.1 and 9.2.1 is about two years)

So, how doest it looks? Have you enjoyed with these "beautiful" video artefacts caused by "pan and zoom"?
Also I would like to ask, why output resolution is limited only by 1920x1080 ?
In the era of 4K and 8K TV's and when any average smartphone have screen resolution higher than that.

How please download and watch this:

Have you noticed any difference maybe? How does this video looks?

Just for sure, let me summarize it:

LR vs OBS.png

So, now if anybody wonder how I did that "alternative" video file. Here is the answer:

  • I used OBS Studio (software for capturing screen in realtime)
  • I configured it to capture the screen on which Lightroom will play slideshow.
  • Thats it! Start recording in OBS and start play in Lightroom
  • Done!

So, OBS Studio was able to capture video with resulution 2560x1440 on the fly!

Which produced 5 times smaller video file, with much much much better image quality!
More over, it took only 2min30sec of time to encode this video (versus TWENTY minutes from LR).

If you have a screen with a higher resolution, then probably result will be even better, with same encoding on the fly.

Now, may I just ask one more question?
Is your software do mining BitCoins on our PC's ????? OR WHAT????
What it do duriong the export? How does this possible???

Dear Adobe, let me speak from my heart:
If I were you, at least I would feel The Shame!
At most, I would fire somebody, right now, immediately.

I hope that my message will help Adobe to finally fix this shameful issue.
And to other users, who may find my "alternative" method of slideshow creation to be usefull, at lest for next 10 years, while Adobe will work on their impovements of video export.

Your sincerely user.
