Lightroom sync to mobile - constantly displays "syncing 3 photos"

I use the latest version of Lightroom CC on a Mac. When checking active tasks Lightroom is working on, I get a message that Lightromm ist currently syncing 3 photos to Lightroom Mobile. This message does not seem to change over time and I have no idea which/if there are any photos to be synced. How can I get rid of this message resp. how can I check if there actually are any syncing tasks going on. And see, if there are any problems with such tasks that are the reason for Lightroom to constantly display this message for weeks now.

A time or two that I had this snag, I was able to resolve it from some combination of going into Develop for each picture in the desktop app, or going to web Mobile and (surprisingly) finding the image, clicking there to edit, but not editing, and I think this turned off sync in Lightroom desktop.  Not sure that either action was what actually solved it, but it is easy enough to try.

I have the same problem. Mine says "synching 2 photos."

Have been on to Adobe help. Had them control my computer. Nothing helped. Last message from "adobe engineer" said that this is"bug and hoping to fix it in a coming update."

I don't have much confidence. The problem must be somewhere inside the catalog database . I have given up.

good luck,

vince

How do you know which pictures to edit to resolve the problem.  I have thousands of pictures.

If you're seeing "Syncing n photos" and it never goes away, try going to Preferences > Lightroom Sync, holding down Alt / Opt, and clicking the Rebuild Sync Data button that magically appears.  This should not change your existing synced collections or their contents, just rebuild the existing relationship between LR Classic and LR CC.

Hurray!!!  Thank you.

The magic Rebuild Sync Data button appeared.  Clicking on it popped up the window that asks if I want to backup the catalog and when that completed it Shutdown Lightroom and then restarted it.  The "Syncing 3 photos" message is gone!

Awesome sauce! My guess is that it was a photo in Lr Mobile CC and Classic CC. Thanks johnrellis!
